Sérgio Luciano

I work at the intersection of process, psychology, and technology, a translator between whoever lives the daily routine, whoever decides strategy, and whoever builds the system. For me, change is never just a technical exercise: it's understanding what people call the problem before proposing a solution.

Background

I started in operational logistics in 2004: warehouse, process, VBA automation. Over time I moved into planning and improvement and specialized in process mapping: seeing operations end to end, finding the bottleneck that actually matters, and changing what holds the flow together, not just the metric on the report. That same focus on what stalls work pulled me toward the people inside those operations and, over time, toward facilitation, listening, and nonviolent communication (NVC).

In 2017 I co-founded Colibri with my partner. Nine years building from scratch: training programs, a publishing operation, games, digital platforms. I launched the Brazilian edition of Grok, a card game for practicing empathy and NVC in groups, with more than 20,000 copies sold. More than ten years facilitating NVC put me among the references in that field in Brazil; I created The Art of Listening on that same line: helping people hear what stays out of the conversation and navigate power dynamics with more clarity.

In 2022 I moved to Belgium. I kept running Colibri online, did some in-person training here, and started connecting logistics, people, and technology more deliberately. I'm based in Lier now, transitioning into the European market.

How I can help

I enter as the front door of change: I translate between the routine and the decision, between the request and what the team can sustain

  • 01

Understand what stalls, including what never enters the room, before closing the diagnosis on a slide

  • 02

Redesign processes and build tools the team recognizes, not just approves

  • 03

Facilitate change where nobody feels bypassed

  • 04

Say no when the request doesn't match the operation, and propose a viable path

Who I fit with

I work best where there's autonomy, dialogue, and a real problem, not where the answer arrived before the question

What energizes me

  • Ordering complex processes and finding where time and money leak
  • Improving people's relationship with technology and with each other
  • Building tools and flows with impact on whoever operates day to day
  • Sharing what I've learned: workshops, training, listening

Where I don't work

  • Diagnosis without listening to operations
  • The weapons industry or negative social impact
  • Rigid hierarchy with no room for initiative
  • Profit above human connection and well-being

What sustains my work

  • Human-centered technology and ethical AI
  • Nonviolent communication and psychological safety
  • Transparency and an open-source mindset
  • Autonomy and shared responsibility

Faster and more human processes.Change that feels like improvement, not threat.
